Short History:
St. Anthony’s parish was established on the 5th of January, 1935, but was inaugurated in 1954 by Most Rev. Bronk, the then bishop of Kumasi Diocese. the parish as at the time consisted of one hundred and seventy-two (172) outstations. Rev. Fr. Beckman was the first parish priest. the parish has given birth to three parishes, namely, Esaase Bontefufuo, Keniago and Manso- Nkwanta and has as a result attained Deanery Status. Currently, the parish is made up of sixteen (16) out stations and it is now under the Catholic Dioceses of Obuasi.
