Short History
In order to promote the growth of the Church in fulfilling the mandate entrusted to her by her divine spouse, that is, the evangelizing mission of the Catholic Diocese of Obuasi, St. Theresa Parish, Atwima Boko, comprising Atwima Twedie, Atwima Foase and Atwima Afrancho was created from St. Lucy Parish, Trabuom in the year 2012 by Most Rev.  Gabriel Justice Yaw Anokye, the second Diocesan Bishop of Obuasi with the Late Rev. Fr. Gabriel Yaw Berko as the first Rector. The Parish is located in the Atwima Kwawoma District with Atwima Twedie as its capital. The then Rectorate begun with the population of about 350.
 
On November 20th, 2022, on the solemnity of Christ, the universal King, Most Rev. John Yaw Afoakwah, the third Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Obuasi raised the Rectorate to become a Parish with Rev. Fr. Afriyie, becoming the first Parish priest of the parish.
