Fereso Parish was a station under Fomena Parish and it was later carved from Fomena Parish by Most Rev.Thomas Kwaku Mensah the Catholic Bishop of Obuasi Diocese at that time, in the year 2001. The first Parish Priest was the Late Rev.Fr. John Kenneth Coffie. At that time, it was Fereso Bodwesango Rectorate. Among the Priests who have worked in the Parish are: Rev. Frs. John Kenneth Coffie, Joseph Osei Bonsu, Lawrence Gyamfi, James Owusu, Sylvester Bioh and Robert Kwame Adanse.
